Employing differentiated instruction and diversifying pedagogy allow teachers to address the diverse range of learners that are found in the today's classrooms. Teachers learn about their students needs and interests, and create lessons that use different apparatus for teaching content. The pictures on this page represent just one way to introduce subject matter to students and allows them a different way to interact with content. The activity displayed on this page is called Jigsaw. The Jigsaw activity divides content into sections, which are then assigned to different groups. Each group is responsible for mastering their particular section. The student then present the information to the rest of the class. When the activity is over, all the students in the classroom have had an overview of the subject matter that is being covered.
